D.N.P features ‘Low clouds across Birmingham’ in a new compilation in the ‘Unexplained Sounds’ series. ‘The first annual report’ covers many of the artists featured in the ‘underground surveys’ released in 2015 as well as contributions from experimental legends Steve Reich and Morton Subotnick. Many thanks to Sonologyst, the founder of Unexplained Sounds for his support of D.N.P.

D.N.P…Dona Nobis Pacem…Grant us peace

Well Petroglyph Music do it again with a totally gigantic Christmas compilation. A new D.N.P can be found at the halfway point. Track 82 of the 164 featured….164 tracks of ambient, experimental, electronic, drone and dark ambient….that’s enough for you to avoid Slade, Wizzard et al until the New Year at least. Free download as usual from the Internet Archive. Merry Christmas to you all and best wishes to Rune & Øystein at Petroglyph Music for this compilation and the inclusion of D.N.P.

D.N.P…Dona Nobis Pacem…Grant us peace

D.N.P is proud to be once again included in a compilation from the revived ‘Terse Tapes’ label. ‘Terse Greetings 2015’ is all you will have come to expect from a ‘Terse Tapes’ issue. All except they are no longer released on cassette that is.

Two tracks by D.N.P’s ‘Dead Neutron Partikel’ division, ‘Fast Forward’ (Track 1) and ’70s DJ Guilt’ (Track 11), are released for your pleasure.

Many thanks to Tom Ellard (Severed Heads/Founder of Terse Tapes) and Kevin Busby (guest compiler) for this honour.

Utterances of the weak signals emitted from Little Diomede Island….
isolated, cold and distinguished….

Hyaena Fierling – sound sources, editing, collage, voice, artwork.
D.N.P. – Rumbling, disturbances.

D.N.P. is proud to present their most recent collaboration ‘Radio Diomede’ created with the talented Portuguese sound artist Hyaena Fierling.

Hyaena Fierling´s work is based on improvisation and exploration,
involving the capture of sounds and soundscapes (field work)
as well as programming and editing (based on the canons of film sound)
of sound sequences originated from unorthodox sound sources – wood
and metal objects, stones, different instruments
or the exploration of sound possibilities in spaces with uncanny
acoustic characteristics – the same sound sequences at a later time edited
and sequence according to soundtrack assemblage
composition, breaking the borders of experimental sound and music in cinematic space.
