D.N.P. is proud to present their most recent collaboration ‘Radio Diomede’ created with the talented Portuguese sound artist Hyaena Fierling.

Hyaena Fierling´s work is based on improvisation and exploration,
involving the capture of sounds and soundscapes (field work)
as well as programming and editing (based on the canons of film sound)
of sound sequences originated from unorthodox sound sources – wood
and metal objects, stones, different instruments
or the exploration of sound possibilities in spaces with uncanny
acoustic characteristics – the same sound sequences at a later time edited
and sequence according to soundtrack assemblage
composition, breaking the borders of experimental sound and music in cinematic space.

Thanks John and Midlands Metalheads for playing my latest collaboration with David Duell on ‘The Dark 3rd’. Some great tracks on there as always.

Thanks to Sonologyst for reviewing ‘The Nikolayev Effect’ in the ‘Unexplained Sounds’ Facebook group

Minimal ambient noise track made in collaboration between D.N.P. and David Duell. Music fits very well, not just for spoken words, the atmospheres we could expect from a movie soundtrack, based on the controversial hypothetic russian experiment, known as The Nikolayev effect. Here’s a link to know something about this experiment. Very cinematic and enigmatic. Unexplained Sounds ! ***1/2

D.N.P joins forces once again with David Duell to perform our interpretation of the infamous creepypasta ‘The Russian Sleep Experiment’. Pure horror. Thanks again to David for providing the vocals.

I am proud to announce the release of ‘Rotting Away’ on the superb Petroglyph label. Download free through bandcamp or the Internet Archive

The absence of light occurs everywhere. Every day we feel the impact of its unsympathetic
tendrils….and with the darkness….fear, revulsion and horror reveals itself….

These tracks were recorded January – September 2014 in the post-industrial
surroundings of Birmingham, UK.

The cover shows an image of the former Central Library of Birmingham,
currently scheduled for demolition.

“The elusive D.N.P has worked magic once again, to provide beautifully bleak, relentless soundscapes to the spoken word of David Duell (ex Fade to Sepia/Bombers). While Duell delivers his nightmarish prose and poetry calmly, but inexorably, D.N.P has created a haunting world of industrial isolation, that truly makes the experience an immersive one”

A live recording made 27/02/2014 straight off the mixing desk. This was the final rehearsal for the D.N.P live debut at City Tavern, Birmingham, UK the following evening.

A few small glitches and errors notably a desk overload at about 15 mins in for a few seconds but that’s the fun and unpredictability of performing live and rehearsing to get it right.
